How good does if feel to you not attending meetings anymore?

i have been in the truth my whole life and tomorrow i turn 32!

the last year i have been fading and haven't been to the kh since the memorial.

i can't tell you how it has been such a heavy burden lifted off my shoulders not to have to worry about so many meetings!!!

Do YOU Still Act Like A Jehovah's Witness?

some habits are hard to break.

many of us were raised as jws and when people try to 'put you down', they might say something like, "you're still acting like a witness".

i wonder whether or not we sometimes do exhibit witness "traits".

How many years since you left the wts?

we had a thread yesterday about how many years we spent in the wts, so let's total up how many years it is since we lef or, if you are fading, since you last attended a meeting.. it's just over a year since i last went, and almost 7 since my bf last went, so our total is 8 years.. feel free to add your years out.

i was a jw and i d/a myself.. i have sinced married and had two wonderful kids, my parents are still jws, and hardly ever see my kids.

i do not regret d/a myself,my parents are the ones missing out on their grandkids,.

i was accused of doing something and the brothers acted like they did not believe me, i told them that the only ones who mattered,was me the other person and god.

It seems ex jw's in the UK are angrier than anywhere else why?

i admittedly am new to this and i am not being judgmental.

why does it seem that when i read the threads from folks in the uk it seems they are preoccupied with a lot of research into the wts and changes into their beliefs?

why not just let it go and go on with life.

Can the JWs really be called Christians?

given the jehovah centred approach of the jws and the marginalisation of christ at least as compared to mainstream christian religions, the extreme reliance on the old testament and particularly the refusal of nearly all jws to participate in the new covenent, should they be thought of as christians at all?

even though they like to call themselves at times: christian (?!

) jehovah's witnesses.

i didnt see an introduction topic, forgive me if this is not the forum.. my name is kyle.

i was born into a jw family in 1981. i spent my child hood not only going to every meeting but also in a home schooling program ran by some of the congregation folks with children.

extremely cut off from the world to say the least.
